Before getting started, the ideal environment should be dust free. Anywhere will usually work, but bathrooms are typically the most suitable and dust-free places in the home. The steamy room from the shower will help eliminate any dust in the air.

Next, wash your hands to remove any dirt and oils that could become trapped under the screen protector... now you're ready to install.

Before installing your screen protector, it’s important to note that the iPhone X Ballistic Glass screen protector does not have a speaker cutout or home button cutout (like previous iPhone models). Since this screen protector was precisely designed to fit the flat portion of the iPhone Ten display, you will need a little guidance to ensure exact placement.

For a little help, go to the Settings Menu, Click “Display & Brightness” and set your “Auto Lock” to “5 Minutes”. This will allow your screen to remain lit during the installation process to help guide your placement.

Now, lock the screen by pressing the side button, so you can clean the entire surface of your iPhone X with the included alcohol cleaning wipe and polish it thoroughly with the microfiber cloth provided.

Hold your iPhone in good lighting and use the included dust removal tape to remove any remaining dust particles. Dust particles are the most common cause of bubbles. A clean, dust-free screen when you start will make the rest of the install go much more smoothly.
Once your screen is thoroughly cleaned, use Face ID to unlock the display and quickly swipe up to return to the “Auto Lock” page.

Now, simply hold the glass by the edges with your finger tips and carefully peel off the protective layer to expose the adhesive side. Only hold the screen protector by the edges and be careful not to touch the adhesive side. This can damage the screen protector and leave a mark in the glass, making it more difficult to achieve a perfect installation.

Next, slowly guide the Ballistic Glass screen protector into place using the top notch of the iPhone X and the long edge of the display as a guide. Lay the screen protector down gently and line it up with the curved corners at the bottom, while making sure it stays on the flat part of the iPhone screen and does not hang over into the curved area. If it doesn’t line up perfectly the first time, immediately lift and adjust until you’re satisfied.

Next, lightly tap the center of the glass and slide your fingers across the middle in the shape of a cross. You can safely lock the screen now to check the adhesion.

Now, use your fingers to firmly push any bubbles from the center towards the edges until they disappear. You may also use a credit card wrapped in the microfiber cloth to remove any stubborn bubbles.

Lastly, use the microfiber cloth to polish your protected screen. After installation, you may see faint wave patterns… this is quite common and is caused by the adhesive while it bonds the two glass surfaces together. This will typically disappear within 24-48 hours.
