In this video I show you how to make 3D glasses that will play in Dual Play mode on Active 3D televisions. I saw that there were a lot of videos out there that showed how to make them work on the Passive 3D TVs like the LG, but none that showed how to make them work on Active 3D TVs like the Samsung.
With the price of Active 3D glasses going down (only $20 a pair for the Samsung Active 3D glasses Model #: SSG-4100GB) and the fact that TVs like the Samsung come with 4 pairs of glasses for free this build really does not end up costing very much. As little as $40 if you buy extra glasses to perform the build on and already have the other items lying around. I purchased pretty much all the supplies from Radio Shack, the wire I used was 50-Ft. Red Insulated Wrapping Wire (30AWG).
In this particular video I show how to perform the conversion on a pair of Samsung Active 3D glasses. I am sure it is similar with the other brands of Active 3D televisions, but I have not personally performed any modifications to any other brands. So be sure to do some research before you start breaking apart another set of 3D glasses (especially if they are one of the expensive pairs).
