This little SD card reader from Amazon just works! I can't believe I have been flying FPV for 4 years now and I waited so long to buy one of these. Not only that, but I've been using GoPros since 2009 or so and I've always had to wait 'til I get home or a hold of a computer in order to transfer and post my videos. Yeah, the GoPro Session 5, GoPro Hero 5 and GoPro Hero 6 all have bluetooth connectivity. The problem is that video files are so big that it takes forever for video files to transfer over to your device via Bluetooth. For this reason, this SD card reader has been a gem. It will also reads Micro SD Cards so long as you have the adapter that's the size of a regular SD Card.

It doesn't need an app to work. It just works right out of the box. So long as you don't want to transfer files down to the card from the phone. That's not native iPhone functionality on any iOS device including iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus like I have here, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone X. That's an Android thing. However, if you do need to move files down I believe there's an app for that. But that's up to you. I'm only interested in moving files up to the iPhone to safe keeping between flights and to post to Instagram and Facebook.

I normally use Samsung SD cards and adapters, however I've found this reader to work just as well with SanDisk and Transcend SD cards and Micro SD cards.
