The Samsung Note 8 does perfectly fine underwater with it's own IP-68 certification, but that's only in ideal and clean conditions. That means salt water or anything that can build up debris won't do so well for it. That's where waterproof cases still become useful.

The Ghostek Nautical 2 Waterproof Case is an affordable tough option, although having it's own usability issues, it does what it's intended to do, really well, and without breaking the bank.

Great to jump into a pool or go somewhere wet with, but not as a daily case. So if you're just looking for protection, check out Ghostek's other line of cases like the Atomic Slim or Cloak 3 Series.
