In this video I’m going to show you how to connect regular 3.5mm headphones to an iPhone 7 which doesn’t have a headset jack. Like most of us, you probably have a bunch of these Apple ear buds lying around or other headsets you still want to use with the iPhone 7.
On this phone there’s no place for the old 3.5mm headphones to plug into. There’s only a Lightning connector now. Luckily there are adapters like this that have a Lightning plug on one end and a female 3.5mm headset jack on the other end. Your headphones plug into the 3.5mm end and the other end plugs into the Lightning jack on your phone.
With this adapter, you can use your old Apple earbuds, Walkman style headphones and even high quality full size headphones on the iPhone 7. Now there’s no reason to go out and buy new headphones when you already have your favorite ones lying around! The iPhone 7 actually comes with its own Lightning headset adapter cable but if it gets lost, you can always purchase an after-market adapter.
