I need to know how to fix iPhone charger cable.

First make sure you've actually plugged it in all the way.

This isn't a case of plugging the adapter in wrong or not plugging the cable in all the way.

There is also making sure there are no damaged pins inside the charger or adapter or charging port.

I've heard of people cleaning out lint from the iPhone port so it can make a good connection and start charging again.

So clean out the port on the iPhone with a toothpick so you don't damage a pin and see if that works.

The cord is clearly damaged.

Then the solution clearly isn't trying the cable with a different adapter just in case it is the adapter that's bad.

No, just the cable as far as I can see. And I do know the trick of testing the same cable with different adapters and plug sockets to see if it is the cable or the adapter.

That can be hard since most people don't have an additional adapter around like they have extra cables.

I borrowed a friends adapter and cables to confirm it isn't the iPhone that's messed up.

There's also the possibility that the plug is not plugged in right or the power strip it is connected to is what doesn't have power.

If the cord broke at the base of the plug, you can try getting a knife, heat shrink tube and electrical tape. Very carefully with the knife, take the outer casing off the plug, but if you damage the wiring inside, the solution is a new cable.

You also cut the plug off the wire where it broke off, then re-solder the trimmed wires to the head. Wrap in electrical tape, put heat shrink tape over the exposed wires, maybe put white tape around it.
