Synopsis
This video makes a comparison between a standard hard drive vs. a SSD. The SSD has its advantages in speed, but the hard drive has it advantages in being able to write more times without performance degradation. The mechanical hard drive is less expensive than a SSD. The hard drive wears out if you read or write, but the SSD never wears out if the device is only read.

There is a place for both storage devices. You can use the hard drive to retrieve the cache data from your internet browsers associated to your SSD which is your main drive. The hard drive could also be used to store all or most of your data, because it is much larger in volume. Having the operating system on a SSD ensures that your computer doesn't fail, because the storage device fails. SSDs are much more durable than HDDs, because if they are employed in the right way it can last a very long time. I have a video where you can move all your cache files from your internet browsers to another hard drive, I will put that in the cards.
