Well I ordered a new water filter months ago and only just saw it in its delivery box, unopened today 😡 so low and behold I decided to change the filter myself!
When you open the Samsung filter, make sure you flush with 13 gallons of water.
Once flushed, remove the old filter- twist to the left to unlock and pull and then place in the new filter.
Push really hard and twist to the right to lock- I couldn’t do this first time 😑
Once the new filter is in, close the fridge doors and flush a few cups of water through, to check that no bits are floating in the eater and that the water is crystal clear.
I live in a hard water area.
Once you’ve flushed the water through, it isn’t now time to reset the filter.
Press the alarm button on the front panel of the fridge and hold for around 3 seconds until the red filter icon disappears.
To reset the ice machine, pull out the ice tray, look to the top right of the ice box inside the fridge and press and hold the blue button until you hear a little ding noise.
Once you’ve heard this noise place the ice tray back into the ice box and let the fridge do it’s thing.
Voila
Fridge, ice box and filter reset!
