This iPhone charger cable was bought at Dollarama. I found when it was plugged in it would make the iPhone start random apps even when it the screen was locked.
After I cut the cable with the cutters, I saw that the copper colored cable was actually a copper wire coil around the regular cable.
From electricity theory we know that wire running through a coil will induce a magnetic field, and wire running inside a coil will also induce a field. Maybe the coiled wire causes random signals. Or maybe there was a hidden chip in the cable ends that was hacking my iPhone.
I will not be buying a charger cable from Tech1 again.
